Role Requirements

Key Tasks
· Allergen analysis from environmental samples, including air and dust, using ELISA and state-of-the-art multiplex techniques.
· Receipt and logging of samples and allergen extraction.
· Preparation of buffers, solutions, and reagents for use in experimental procedures and ELISA kits.
· Adhere to the internal Quality Assurance System (QAS) and ISO 17025 standard.
· Supporting development and management of the QAS.
· Keeping lab equipment and facilities clean and in good working condition.
· Follow standard operating procedures with consistency.
· Keeping detailed laboratory notebooks and records.
· Reporting the progress of all analyses, results, procedures, and experiments to senior team members.
· Support lab staff on contract research projects, as necessary (e.g. preparation of natural allergen material).

Person Specifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Requirements
· A B.Sc. in biology, biotechnology, or related biomedical subject.
· 1 years’ experience of working within a laboratory.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· High standard of communication skills.
· Ability to work independently when required, but equally able to work effectively within a team.
· Knowledge of software for word-processing, spreadsheets, databases.

All relevant job specific training will be provided.
