On-Site Endoscopic Specialist
Role Overview
Main Purpose
The On-Site Endoscopic Specialist (OES) utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to support service solutions.
He / She will improve quality by ensuring that equipment is always available and fully functional, facilitate training to all levels of staff as required, implement quality improvements and continuously assure the highest standards are maintained in all aspects of our clients services.
The On-Site Endoscopic Specialist shall promptly, conscientiously and efficiently perform the following tasks to ensure that the obligations of the supporting contract are realised at the facility. The role of the OES will include but not be limited to;
· To attend at the facility at agreed times to facilitate Client support in all areas of the customer’s facility as directed.
· The day to day management of various assets in one or multiple customer facilities.
· Provide client support in clinical areas to promote equipment functionality and use, enabling staff to concentrate on clinical care of patients.
· Training and education of devices and/or services in client locations as determined by the facility requirements.
· Completion of weekly and quarterly reports alongside supporting documents as required.
Role Requirements
1. Duties will vary depending on the supporting contract with the account and will generally include:
· Inspection, troubleshooting, and replacement of rigid and flexible endoscopes, associated instrumentation;
· Optimise functionality of equipment used in the facility by providing real-time clinical support.
· Facilitating data management and storage requests in accordance with the Authority.
· Monitoring and reporting performance of all contracted equipment.
· Facilitating repair/ exchange transactions and loan equipment movement.
2. Ensure the confidentiality of both patient care and business matters, by assuring that any confidential information is not shared or discussed except as required in the performance of required duties in accordance with the facility guidelines.
3. Attend all periodic and ad hoc meetings with the medical facility representative, medical and administrative staff employed by or on behalf of the facility.
4. Maintain technical competency through regular and frequent attendance at appropriate courses as agreed with line manager.
5. Ensure that COSHH, HTM, and all applicable Health & Safety standards and requirements are met at all times by its employees, servants, and agents.
6. Ensure that the performance of the services is ISO13485 compliant.
7. Awareness and compliance with local medical facility policies relevant to their activities.
8. Carry out any ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the SMART Solutions Team Leader or Operations Manager.
Person Specifications
Qualifications and Required Experience
· Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), or equivalent through experience.
· NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Healthcare, Nursing qualification (desirable)
· 2 years’ experience in a healthcare environment (desirable)
