2010 “exciting” and “critical” for pharmaceutical sector
This year will be a particularly “critical” and “exciting” one for the UK’s pharmaceutical industry, according to one body.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) this week revealed its goals for the coming months, as its president Steve Churton outlined his expectations for the year ahead.
Overall, the organisation has established 21 new targets that it hopes to achieve within the next 100 days, including the launch of a new information, advice and support network for pharmacists and an extension of local practices.
Mr Churton explained that these new commitments “build upon those announced last September […] and reflect the fact that we are making good progress towards the launch of the new Royal Pharmaceutical Society later this year”.
He added that the National Pharmacy Boards are currently in the process of being elected and will also be responsible for ensuring that these goals are realised.
The RPSGB’s main objectives are regulating, developing and representing those in the pharmaceutical industry and its influence spans England, Scotland and Wales.
