3 Monkeys Communications to be acquired by Zeno Group

3 Monkeys Communications has been acquired by the global comms agency Zeno Group, a move that will accelerate its worldwide growth strategy.

The newly-combined entity will number around 75 people and will be known as 3 Monkeys | Zeno, with Angie Moxham, founder of 3 Monkeys, to take charge of the business at a Europe-wide level.

Christine Jewell, managing director of the new-look agency, will run the day-to-day UK operations, while Steve Earl will serve as managing director for Zeno Europe. Zeno's UK team has already relocated to 3 Monkeys' premises in Soho, London.

This deal is expected to yield mutual benefits, positioning Zeno as a mid-sized independent agency with a global presence, while enabling 3 Monkeys to export its award-winning comms services around the world.

Ms Moxham said: "We have been looking at how we globalise 3 Monkeys for a few years now … No route, however, could come close to the capabilities and bandwidth we gain on day one by joining forces with Zeno."

3 Monkeys' client base includes Anheuser-Busch, Lenovo and Microsoft, while Zeno represents brands such as CA Technologies, Intel and Netflix.
