3 Monkeys ends UK PR relationship with Three

7th April 2014

3 Monkeys Communications has confirmed that it will not be continuing its UK PR partnership with mobile operator Three.

The telecoms firm has put its UK PR account out to pitch and 3 Monkeys has confirmed that it has declined to repitch, bringing to an end a successful collaboration that has lasted for seven years, reports PRWeek.

Three is seeking a new marketing partner and has shortlisted several agencies as part of a process organised by matchmaker AAR, with its final selection to be announced during the coming weeks.

It comes as the mobile operator seeks to roll out its 4G services and position itself as the provider of the fastest mobile broadband in the UK.

Angie Moxham, chief executive officer of 3 Monkeys Communications, said: "We've had an amazing seven years with Three and feel we've been an integral part of its success story. We respect Three wants to review its incumbent."

The agency has launched a number of successful campaigns for Three, including the hit viral Dance Pony Dance campaign and the widely-covered On the Go Mums initiative.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801710321-ADNFCR
