Mettler Toledo’s proprietary software solution is ensuring "fail-proof management" at a flavour manufacturer, the company has revealed.

Lucta’s Barcelona site – which also produces fragrances and feed additives – uses the industrial PC IC30 weighing management software, which is integrated in the terminal.

It identifies ingredients by barcode and weighs them in one of the two connected platforms – the KCC, which has a 300kg capacity and the 30kg-capacity PBA430.

Throughout this process, operators are guided by the software "with useful information about raw materials handling and weighing procedures", according to Mettler Toledo.

Real-time data on subjects such as expiration dates and remaining stock volume is also provided by the software which can be used for material management purposes.
