Mast stated that its Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (Loopamp) RNA and DNA amplification kits are "the ultimate in convenience" for scientists.
In a statement, the organisation explained that Loopamp is a gene amplification method that makes use of a single enzyme in isothermal reaction conditions.
The process offers high specificity and sensitivity due to the use of four primers that recognise six different regions of the target gene sequence.
Mast said that the conditions of the Loopamp process allow for the ongoing amplification of target genes instead of being limited to the short periods of intensification seen in PCR cycling.
The firm concluded by explaining that its kits are pre-optimised to conform to the ideal working parameters, meaning that they are able to ensure that accurate results are delivered while only minimal time and effort are required.
Earlier this month, Mast announced that it is offering all its Seeplex users the chance to confirm their cases of H1N1 by making available an additional specific primer at no extra charge.
