3M extends Mini-Clamp Connector product line

3M has announced it has recently added Right Angle Surfacemount Socket connectors to its Mini-Clamp Connector product line.

The low-profile and compact design of the new product has been "designed for a reliable interconnection in demanding applications", according to the manufacturer – and has kept its predecessors’ features such as dual-wipe, high-mating cycles and positive mating latches.

Furthermore, the Right Angle Surfacemount Socket product offers "reliable electrical connection between sensors, actuators, drives and control units without special tooling or wire preparation", similar to the recently-launched Mini-Clamp II connectors, 3M added.

An easy installation process is achieved using 3M’s insulation displacement contact system, while the connectors – which are available in three and four-pin varieties – include three options for correctly placing and locating the component on a PC board.
