3M Releases Surgical Skin Prep solution

1 in 25 hospital patients experience healthcare associated infections according to the Centre of Disease Control and Prevention. 3M have released an advanced surgical skin prep solution in an effort to help clinicians fight against surgical site infections.
‘There is always a risk of patients acquiring onsite infections, so any new solutions that can reduce surgery associated infections and allow us to be provide better care for patients is always welcome.’ Said Dr Segina, an orthopaedic trauma surgeon from Health First, Regional Medical Centre.
