40th Overseas Service Trip for Pacific Dental Services

PDS-supported doctors and non-clinical staff members have cared for over 16,000 patients globally for an overall cost of over $11 million in dental services since the organization’s first overseas service trip in 2010.

This extraordinary achievement is the outcome of the relentless dedication of over 550 participants who have together almost 28,000 hours of their time. These coordinated initiatives have provided those suffering in Fiji, Ethiopia, and Guatemala with critical relief.

“This achievement is one that makes me particularly proud, as it underscores our efforts to create opportunities for our team members to serve, not only having a meaningful impact on others, but also on their own lives,” stated Stephen E. Thorne IV, CEO of Pacific Dental Services.

He went on to say, “The inception of our internal ‘We Serve’ department and the PDS Foundation was rooted in this very purpose—to provide avenues for our team to serve others in a profound and impactful way.”
