AAH agrees pharmacy supply deal with GSK

30th July 2008

AAH has agreed a deal to supply the pharmacy products distributed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to various parts of the UK.

The arrangement will come into effect from the beginning of November and both AAH and UniChem will be responsible for delivering GSKs prescription drugs and medicines to healthcare facilities around the country.

Commercial structures and discount deals will not be impacted as a result of the agreement, notes AAH, which has 20 operating bases in the UK.

Managing director of the group Mark James said: “We are pleased that GSK has chosen AAH as a distribution partner. Existing AAH customers will see no change to cut off or delivery times as a result of this decision.

“We hope new customers will find that the service and support which AAH offers exceeds their expectations.”

AAH claims to be the leading distributor of healthcare and pharmaceutical products in the UK and to make close to 100,000 deliveries each week.
