AAH Pharmaceuticals chosen for Ferring distribution deal

AAH Pharmaceuticals has been named as one of the exclusive wholesale distribution partners of Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

The firm has been selected alongside Phoenix Healthcare Distribution to take charge of selling Ferring's product range across the UK, with the new arrangement coming into effect as of January 1st 2012.

It is one of a number of recent distribution deals secured by AAH in association with Phoenix, with the two companies having partnered with Daiichi Sankyo and Abbott in the last year.

AAH also secured an exclusive distribution arrangement with Merck Serono last month, which comes into effect on January 9th.

Mark James, group managing director of AAH, said the company has worked constructively with Ferring to close the latest deal.

He expressed confidence that the partnership will help to "drive efficiencies, retain supplier choice for dispensing customers and maintain high service levels to ensure patients get the medicines they need when they need them".
