AAH selected for new Daiichi Sankyo distribution deal

AAH Pharmaceuticals has agreed a deal with Daiichi Sankyo that will see it become an exclusive distributor for the company.

The Japan-based firm has selected AAH and Phoenix Healthcare to act as its sole dispensers of products in the UK effective as of the beginning of June 2011, reports Chemist and Druggist.

This will mean AAH will be one of only two companies to offer Daiichi Sankyo’s range. A spokesperson for Daiichi Sankyo stated that it expects this agreement will ultimately be of benefit to patient care quality standards.

The representative said: "Daiichi Sankyo believes these new arrangements will result in a more efficient and transparent supply chain by leveraging a closer relationship with two wholesalers."

It comes after AAH was selected alongside Phoenix and Alliance Healthcare earlier this year to become an exclusive UK distribution partner to Abbott.
