Abbott and Beech-Nut enter nutrition education agreement
Abbott has announced that it is collaborating with Beech-Nut Nutrition in order to better educate mothers and families on the benefits of a balanced diet.
Beech-Nut Nutrition, which manufactures baby food, will partner with Abbott to provide facts to new and existing parents about nutrition and health through the firms’ websites.
The move will offer parents valuable information and support on nutritional welfare as their children go through various stages of growth, said Donald Patton, senior vice-president of Abbot Nutrition.
He added: “Both Abbott and Beech-Nut are committed to giving infants and toddlers a strong start in life.”
In related news, Abbot recently lent its backing to the establishment of a culture that encourages and develops youngsters’ interest in science while they are still in school.
Kathy Pickus, division vice-president of global citizenship and policy at the company, said this can be achieved through “real-world experiences beyond the classroom”.
