Abbott named ‘one of the best places to start a career’

Abbott has been recognised as one of the best firms for starting an occupation in respect of its efforts and results in offering job opportunities for those who have recently graduated.

The company was named as one of the 50 Best Places to Launch a Career by BusinessWeek magazine, being the highest-ranked healthcare company on the list for the third consecutive year.

It said it offers a range of programmes and benefits that are important to the modern generation, such as an online mentoring programme, tuition reimbursement upon hire, employee networks, health and wellness offerings and the opportunity to volunteer in local philanthropic initiatives.

The full rankings are published in the current issue of BusinessWeek magazine.

Earlier this month, Abbott was listed on the Down Jones Sustainability Index for the fourth year in a row, being the only US-based Fortune 100 healthcare manufacturer listed on the North America and world indices.
