Abbott says it is proud to be a good place to work
Abbott is proud to have been recognised by The Scientist as being one of the best places to work in industry.
For the sixth time since 2003, the pharmaceutical company has made the top ten firms listed in the publication for this category.
The survey asked employees to rate a number of areas including their working environment, job satisfaction, training and benefits. Staff also expressed the importance of security, growth and stability in their career.
Editor and publisher of The Scientist Richard Gallagher noted everyone can learn from the winning businesses, adding employees will be more motivated and better performers if they take satisfaction from the workplace.
Dr John Leonard, senior vice-president of Abbott’s pharmaceutical research and development division, commented on the outcome of the survey.
He said: “We’re proud to be honoured by The Scientist for our efforts to provide the resources, tools and development opportunities our scientists need to continue to bring forward new innovations.”
The June issue of the publication, which is out today (June 1st), contains the rankings of the poll.
Established over 120 years ago, Abbott now employs more than 72,000 people around the world.
