Abbvie Set to Procure Landos Biopharma

AbbVie has finalised an agreement to procure Landos Biopharma for just over $200 million.  

This procurement enhances AbbVie’s platform in the therapeutic division of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.  

Landos Biopharma is a privately held biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel oral therapeutics for autoimmune diseases. They specialise in targeting immunometabolic pathways to create potential treatments for a range of autoimmune conditions.  

Roopal Thakkar, the head medical officer at AbbVie, commented, “With this acquisition, we aim to advance the clinical development of NX-13, a differentiated, first-in-class oral asset with the potential to make a difference in the lives of people living with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.”
