Acelity acquires SNaP disposable negative pressure wound therapy system
Acelity, global wound care and regenerative medicine company has announced that it has acquired the SNaP Therapy System.
This is a disposable negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) system that is designed to treat a range of complex wounds with negative pressure technology.
By acquiring this system Acelity's sales and service channels will be able to support the further expansion of the SNaP Therapy System for the benefit of patients and their care teams.
It will be available to anyone who needs access to NPWT devices and who currently doesn't have this advantage.
Acelity has plans to increase access to the post-acute wound market by strengthening the range of treatments and systems that it is able to provide thanks to taking on the SNaP NPWT.
Due to having a newly expanded portfolio, Acelity is in a unique position to alter advanced wound care outside of America. This is because NPWT solutions, such as the SNaP Therapy system, present an economical approach for the treatment of chronic wounds.
