Actavis, Teva to present at UBS conference

Robert Wessman, the president and chief executive officer of Actavis is due to present at the annual UBS Global Specialty and Generic Pharmaceuticals Conference, it has been announced.

The firm explains that Mr Wessman will discuss “the strategy and competitiveness of Actavis in a fiercely competitive environment” at the event, which takes place today (May 28th).

Due to be held in London for the first time in its 12-year history, the conference is set to feature presentations from more than 80 executives from leading generic and speciality pharmaceutical companies from across the globe.

Panel discussions focused on key sector issues and trends are also due to take place.

Firms from Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific are due to be at the event, Actavis notes.

In recent days, Teva announced that it will host a live audio webcast at the event and that Dr Gerard Van Odjik, president and chief executive officer of Teva Europe will present.
