Adelphi Worldwide acquires The Planning Shop International
Adelphi Worldwide has announced the takeover of The Planning Shop International (TPSi), expanding its portfolio of healthcare evidence and solutions businesses.
TPSi is a London-based healthcare brand and research agency with 20 years of consumer and healthcare experience. It uses specialist research tools to provide tailored marketing solutions for pharmaceutical and over-the-counter businesses.
This takeover will strengthen Adelphi's global research and insight capabilities in the US and Europe, and sees TPSi join the DAS group of companies, which is a division of the wider Omnicom conglomerate.
Both firms believe that Adelphi's product development focus will complement the brand-oriented nature of TPSi's work in a positive way.
Stuart Cooper, chief executive officer of Adelphi Worldwide, said: "This really strengthens even further our top-flight presence as a group in this sector. They will complement also our DAS and Omnicom partners, dedicated to effective creative communication solutions."
Founded in 1986, Adelphi has been part of Omnicom since 1998. It has 14 offices worldwide, including its global headquarters in Manchester and a further UK division in London.
