Advanced Cell Diagnostics’ RNAscope achieves new milestones

Advanced Cell Diagnostics has highlighted a pair of major milestones it has achieved that demonstrate the widespread adoption of its RNAscope RNA in situ hybridisation technology.

In the three years since the launch of the product, more than 100 peer-reviewed papers featuring the technology have been published, allowing the company to build a library of more than 4,000 target probes for numerous species.

Probes can now be designed to order in less than two weeks, and in just six months the library has grown by over 1,500, reflecting the widespread and growing interest in the breakthrough technology.

RNAscope allows researchers to sensitively detect in situ single RNA molecules and provides quantitative analysis of gene expression at a single-cell level. It also offers morphological context by showing spatial and cell-specific expression, while preserving tissue architecture.
