Advanced Medical Solutions sees ‘excellent’ first half growth

8th September 2010

Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) has published its interim results for the first six months of 2010, during which the company saw a 47 per cent year-on-year revenue increase.

The medical technology firm's revenue total for the six months came to 14.5 million pounds, while profit levels from operations grew by 136 per cent in the same period.

This strong growth was attributed to the continued success of AMS silver products, as well as the global rollout of its LiquiBand range.

In addition, the company has been able to successfully integrate the recently acquired Corpura BV into its wound care unit, as well as making progress on the establishment of its new UK facility in Winsford.

Dr Geoffrey Vernon, chairman of Advanced Medical Solutions Group, said: "I am pleased to report that AMS has made excellent progress in the first half of the year in growing the business and continues to put in place the building blocks to fuel future growth."

Last month, the company announced the appointment of Claire Holden as its vice-president of research and development, as well as Steve Platt as general manager of the new Winsford site.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800056490-ADNFCR
