Agilent launches AffinityScript One-Step RT-PCR Kit
Agilent launched a new product on to the scientific equipment market this week ? its AffinityScript One RT-PCR Kit.
The product, which is a high-performance system for convenient, high-throughput RT-PCR is designed for rapid setup that eliminates the occurrence of contaminations.
It is intended for use by researchers performing end-point RT-PCR reactions and provides high-product yields and fidelity for activities such as gene detection quantification and cloning.
The kit is made up of AffinityScript RT and Herculase II Fusion DNA polymerase, which enables multi-temperature RT and a robust amplification step to generate higher yields of cDNA.
Nick Price, product manager at Agilent Technologies, commented: “This is the only RT-PCR kit on the market with fusion enzyme-based technology, enabling faster extension times, substantially reduced time-to-results and increased sample throughput.”
In other Agilent news, in December the firm announced that it won a contract to supply Derby Associates International with its new Medalist i3070 and 3070 in-circuit tester-based quality tool – the Web-PBQ.
