Agilent launches new liquid chromatography system
Agilent Technologies has launched a new liquid chromatography system for use in bio-analysis and bio-purification applications.
The new 1260 Infinity bio-inert quaternary system incorporates features such as a metal-free sample-flow path and a stainless steel-free solvent delivery path, as well as a wide range of pH tolerance.
It is optimised to provide the lowest detection limits and highest resolution per time of any system of its kind, making it ideal for applications such as the characterisation of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
Stefan Schuette, Agilent’s liquid chromatography marketing director, said the system will help to meet the growing demand among researchers for means of analysing new biological entities and biosimilars.
He added: “There are huge benefits to increasing robustness and performance significantly for large biomolecule analysis, increasing productivity, uptime and reproducibility.”
Last week, the company highlighted the new additions to its Fourier Transform-Infra Red solutions portfolio, such as 600-IR series spectrometers and microscopes, which have been incorporated following the takeover of Varian.
