Agilent receives award for innovative invention

18th March 2015

Agilent Technologies has received an award for its multiple heart-cutting device, entitled the Agilent 1290 Infinity II 2D-LC solution.

The Analytical Scientist magazine has awarded the invention the accolade of being one the most innovative and transformative technologies introduced to the market during 2014.

Vice-president of Agilent's Liquid Phase Division Stefan Schuette explained: "The Agilent 1290 Infinity II 2D-LC solution with multiple heart-cutting boosts analytical efficiency with superior peak capacity compared to conventional solutions for ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography."

He added that it helps to improve the efficiency of laboratory processes, as it features newly-designed hardware and software designed to assist with online monitoring, data analysis, easy setup and effective system control.

The magazine stated that it was impressed with the way Agilent had developed a complex piece of technology that could be utilised in a robust manner.

Last year was a successful one for the business – alongside winning this award for its 2014 invention, the firm reported a revenue of $4 billion (2.7 billion pounds).ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801780168-ADNFCR
