Agilent reports year-on-year growth in first quarter of 2015

19th February 2015

Agilent has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2015, during which it achieved year-on-year revenue growth of two percent.

The company's revenue total for the three months came to $1.03 billion (667.4 million pounds), while orders rose by a similar percentage to $995 million. Improved performances for its life sciences and applied markets division ad CrossLab group helped to offset a decline in the diagnostics and genomics division.

Agilent's second-quarter 2015 revenues are expected to be in the range of $985 million to $1.01 billion, while for the full year the total is forecast to be between $4.06 billion and $4.12 billion.

Mike McMullen, the company's president, chief operating officer and chief executive officer-elect, said: "Looking ahead, we are confident in the strength of our new product portfolio to sustain growth, as well as our ability to address some current business challenges and accelerate achievement of our long-term operating model."

This marked Agilent's first fiscal quarter operating under its new business structure, following the spinoff of its electronic measurement business into a separate company called Keysight Technologies in November 2014.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801776244-ADNFCR
