Agilent Technologies appoints new COO

23rd November 2011

Agilent Technologies has announced the appointment of Ron Nersesian as its new executive vice-president and chief operating officer (COO).

Mr Nersesian originally joined Agilent's predecessor company Hewlett-Packard in 1984 and has served in various management roles of increasing responsibility.

In his new position, he will continue to report to president and chief executive officer Bill Sullivan and will have day-to-day responsibility for the life sciences, electronic measurement and chemical analysis divisions.

His appointment coincides with the promotion of Guy Sene to fill the new COO's previous position as head of the electronic measurement group.

Mr Sullivan said: "Ron's appointment as COO is an opportunity for Agilent to leverage the skills of an executive with an exceptional record of business growth, cost improvements and superior return on invested capital."

This comes after the firm reported revenue growth of ten percent in the financial quarter ending on October 31st 2011, completing a record-breaking fiscal year for the company.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801219579-ADNFCR
