Agilent Technologies launches Low Gas Alarm
Agilent Technologies has unveiled a new product designed to alert gas chromatography operators before a gas cylinder empties and shuts down.
The Low Gas Alarm incorporates visual and audio alerts and is intended to help scientists lower the amount of downtime they have to use off-schedule to replace cylinders. The company described the tool as safe, economical and reliable.
It pointed out that as well as wasting time, an empty gas container runs the risk of damaging the column and potentially losing samples.
Meanwhile, Agilent Technologies also took the opportunity this week to announce the launch of new general purpose lab syringes.
These have been created to help professionals save time when looking for the right size syringe, as they are colour-coded to enable quick identification.
On Tuesday of this week, the firm took the wraps off its updated 5600LS high-resolution atomic-force microscope, which is able to accommodate large and small samples using a 200 x 200 mm stage and low-noise design.
