Agilent Technologies launches new rack for LC systems

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of a new rack for the storage and protection of liquid chromatography (LC) systems.

The new Agilent Rack for LC Systems is made of durable aluminium and designed to be compatible with all available Agilent 1100, 1200 and 1290 Infinity series modules.

According to the company, it can be assembled with standard tools and attached to a workbench within minutes, with its design providing superior airflow and cabling access.

It is intended to provide easier access to modules and connections, as well as making it easier to change modules and protecting the equipment from being damaged by accident.

Agilent added: “The flexibility of the new rack means the column compartment or UV detector can be positioned closer to the ion source in an LC/MS system.”

Last month, the science company announced that it is to provide assistance with gene analysis technology at BGI, one of the world’s most prominent genome research centres, in order to aid research into cancer.
