Alcon publicises allergy treatments
Alcon has been publicising the effects and symptoms of seasonal allergies, along with possible treatments for them.
Through various media outlets, the company has explained what the causes of allergies are and what people can do in their day-to-day lives to relieve the side effects such conditions can cause.
Products from the firm’s range, including Pataday ophthalmic solution and Patanase nasal spray, have been discussed as part of the media drive to inform and educate sufferers of possible remedies.
Dr Bobby Lanier, clinical professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Centre, took part in the publicity events.
He commented: “There are some new concepts and new treatments for the springtime problems people are already experiencing.”
Earlier this month, Alcon launched a Patanase website designed to be an online resource for allergy sufferers to access information about symptoms and treatments simply.
It is a useful source as many people log onto the internet to research medical issues, Dr Lanier remarked.
Founded in 1945, Alcon now employs around 15,000 staff worldwide and it develops, manufactures and distributes its hundreds of products in more than 180 countries.
