Alcon sets financial results announcement date

Alcon has announced it has scheduled a date to announce its fourth quarter financial results.

Following the market close on February 11th, the company said its management will host a conference call to discuss the results – ending December 31st – on February 12th.

Presenting Alcon’s figures will be senior vice-president of finance and chief financial officer Richard Croarkin and Cary Rayment, chairman, president and chief executive officer.

The company added that along with the call, an associated webcast will also be available from the organisation’s website for one week after the event.

Meanwhile, Alcon recently announced a change in its executive line up which saw the appointment of Kevin Buehler to president and chief executive.

Beginning the role on April 1st, he will replace Cary Rayment, who will be retiring – but still remaining a director and non-executive chairman of the board – on March 31st.

Mr Buehler said he was “delighted and excited” to be taking on the position.

He added: “Alcon is well-positioned as the leader in our industry and I will do all that I can to build on that sound foundation to allow Alcon to achieve sustained growth in the future.”
