Align Technology hails record-breaking 2011 performance

1st February 2012

Align Technology has published its financial report for the 2011 business year, during which it achieved its best ever results.

The dental supplier's net revenues came to $479.7 million (302.77 million pounds), up by 23.9 percent year on year, thanks in part to a record-breaking fourth-quarter performance.

During the final three months of the year, the company saw improved demand for its Invisalign, scanner and CAD/CAM product offerings, while it also saw revenue gains from the acquisition of Cadent Holdings.

Thomas Prescott, Align's president and chief executive officer, noted the firm's gains in the teen orthodontic sector, as well as its growing presence in new markets such as China, Turkey, the Middle East and Russia.

He added: "These important milestones will all help us drive continued adoption and utilisation of Invisalign and leverage that strong base to become the leader in the intraoral scanner market."

This comes in the same month that Align expanded its Invisalign product range with the launch of Invisalign Express 5, a cost-effective new treatment option for minor crowding or malocclusions.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801281150-ADNFCR
