Align Technology to launch Invisalign G4 dental innovation

Align Technology has announced the launch of Invisalign G4, the newest version of its flagship dental malocclusion treatment technology.

The successor to Invisalign G3 incorporates next-generation SmartForce clinical innovations to provide better clinical results for open bite treatments, enhanced root control for canines and central incisors and better predictability for upper lateral movements.

These features are customised for each tooth individually using advanced virtual modelling and utilise biomechanical principles to ensure precise delivery of the appropriate forces.

Invisalign G4 functions are to be available for the Invisalign Full, Invisalign Teen, Invisalign Assist, Invisalign Express 10 and Invisalign Lite offerings.

Sheila Tan, Align Technology's vice-president for marketing and chief marketing officer, said: "Research with Invisalign providers has shown that the SmartForce features increase a doctor's likelihood of prescribing Invisalign and help the doctor to deliver the results they expect in more clinical applications."

This comes after the company announced plans to strengthen its operations last month through the consolidation of its operations in New Jersey.
