Align’s iTero scanner to offer compatibility with Dentsply digital tools

Align Technology has announced that new digital workflow options for the iTero Intraoral Scanner will introduce compatibility with Dentsply Implants.

Providing connectivity with Align's Atlantis custom abutments, the new workflow has been made available already in North America, with a limited release in Europe until January 2015.

This iTero-certified connectivity with the Atlantis abutments helps simplify treatment processes for clinicians, reducing the number of required patient visits, while saving time for the practice and providing an improved patient experience.

Intraoral scanning also helps improve the treatment workflow, offering process efficiency benefits for dental laboratories.

This comes after the iTero scanner introduced connectivity with Zimmer Zfx custom abutments for implants last month.
