Allen and Page announces its official charity for 2010

Allen and Page has revealed which charity it has chosen to lend its support to in 2010.

The company will make Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) its official charity of next year, as the RDA celebrates its 40th year of operation.

It was founded in 1969 and has since offered help to more than 26,500 disabled people through 500 different organisations in the UK and Ireland, Allen and Page highlighted.

During its 40th year, the RDA compiled a special book to mark the work it has done over the years, which contains the personal accounts of people whose lives it has affected in the past.

“This 40th Anniversary is a real milestone for us. It has given us a chance both to reflect on how far the charity has come, and to focus on what needs to be done for our riders and groups,” commented chief executive of the RDA Ed Bracher.

In other recent Allen and Page news, the firm revealed last week that it has signed up for the British Equestrian Trade Association’s Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances code.
