Alliance Boots opens travel health clinic in Cambridge
Alliance Boots has launched a new dedicated travel health clinic at its city centre Boots outlet in Cambridge.
The new nurse-led clinic is being launched as part of a new travel health service that is being rolled out across a number of London pharmacies and is being run in partnership with professional health advisory body Masta.
It offers a range of travel vaccinations for conditions such as malaria, as well as one-to-one consultations on the best ways to prepare for trips and stay healthy whilst abroad, reports Chemist and Druggist.
Louise Luck, lead nurse at the clinic, said staff are also trained to "help identify potential health risks associated with different parts of the world".
So far, the travel health service has been introduced in 11 London pharmacies, while further travel health clinics have been opened in Nottingham and Milton Keynes.
Earlier this month, Alliance Boots published its mid-year update for September 30th 2011, during which it saw a 31.3 percent annual rise in revenue.
