Alliance Medical moves headquarters

22nd June 2007

Pan European medical imaging company Alliance Medical has announced plans to move its headquarters to Warwick Technology Park, Warwickshire next month.

From July 2nd, the firm, which claims to be the largest independent provider of MRI, PET and CT scanning in Europe, will no longer be headquartered in Upton, Oxfordshire.

The group has operated at its Home Farm Drive address, near Banbury, since 1989 and has announced the move as being a bid to further develop patient management services.

Andrew Smith, recently-appointed managing director of the company, said: “This is an exciting move for Alliance Medical and it will greatly increase the efficiency of our company.

“This is a modern environment in which to work and it allows the company to move forward and develop further.”

Alliance Medical will have its head office staff housed at the “state-of-the-art” offices at the Icenicentre and also hopes to develop a patient-management function there.

The group has more than 450 customers in the UK, including the Department of Health, which has contracted Alliance Medical to provide 635,000 scans over five years.

Apparently, the deal will afford the NHS a 15 per cent increase in scanning capacity.
