Allison and Partners takes over ARM account

2nd May 2017

Allison and Partners has been handed a new brief by ARM Holdings, the UK tech giant providing microchips and semiconductors to clients worldwide.

The agency has earned a new PR contract covering the US, UK and Europe, along with other key global markets, following a competitive review. It will take over the account from Racepoint Global, which has worked with ARM for around a decade.

According to The Holmes Report, the account shift comes after ARM hired Joyce Kim as its new vice-president of global marketing, brand and communications last year. This followed the company's acquisition by Japan's Softbank.

Over the past ten years, Racepoint has worked closely with ARM to develop its global brand and implement a more consumer-friendly positioning, with the brief becoming one of the agency's biggest accounts.

Racepoint Global chief executive officer Peter Prodromou said: "Helping transform the company from its roots to a global leadership position was extremely gratifying and we wish them great luck in the next chapter in their journey."
