Alzheimer’s Society hires director of marketing and external affairs
The Alzheimer's Society has appointed Vivienne Francis as its new director of marketing and external affairs.
Ms Francis joins the charity from Prostate Cancer UK, where she has served as director of communications for the past two-and-a-half years, while before that she was deputy director of comms and head of media and PR.
During her time with Prostate Cancer UK, she has helped to develop a new brand identity for the organisation and played a key role in developing mass communications campaigns under the banner of Men United.
In her new role at the Alzheimer's Society, she will oversee all comms, policy and engagement activity, including the charity's government-supported Dementia Friends initiative.
Ms Francis said: "I am excited to be joining Alzheimer's Society at such a pivotal point, and looking forward to helping engage people in turning the tide against a disease which affects so many people in the UK and globally."
The organisation is the UK's leading dementia support and research charity, offering guidance to those affected by the condition and funding new studies to combat it.
