Amgen appoints new chief compliance officer

19th October 2012

Amgen has announced the appointment of Cynthia Patton as its new senior vice-president and chief compliance officer, effective as of October 22nd 2012.

Ms Patton will take charge of the pharmaceutical company's worldwide compliance and business ethics functions, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare legal experience to the role.

She has been with Amgen since 2005 and most recently acted as vice-president for its law department with responsibility for commercial legal activities in the US.

Amgen has appointed her to the role recently vacated by Anna Richo, who is leaving the company on October 31st to become UCB's executive vice-president and general counsel.

Robert Bradway, the company's president and chief executive officer, said: "Cynthia's addition to Amgen's leadership team will help us further our commitment to conduct business ethically and in compliance with the laws and regulations that govern our business and industry."

This comes after Ray Jordan joined the organisation in the role of senior vice-president for corporate affairs at the beginning of the month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801472536-ADNFCR
