Amgen promotes two senior executives

28th October 2013

Amgen has announced that long-serving staff members Brian McNamee and Stuart Tross are taking on new senior executive roles.

Mr McNamee, who has been with the company since 2001, has been named executive vice-president, taking responsibility for leading a series of multi-year initiatives to deliver growth and increase Amgen's productivity and agility.

He brings more than 25 years of management experience to his new role, having served as Amgen's senior vice-president of human resources for the past 12 years, while his previous employers include GE.

Meanwhile, Mr Tross will succeed Mr McNamee in his human resources role, having served in various positions at Amgen since 2006.

Robert Bradway, chairman and chief executive officer of Amgen, said Mr McNamee "has been a tireless advocate in building the talent base at Amgen," while also praising Mr Tross for his "experience and leadership".

This comes after the company reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2013 last week, highlighting a ten percent year-on-year increase in revenues.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801653969-ADNFCR
