Anachem launches new 4titude plate stand

Anachem has released a new plate holding stand that allows users to conduct pipetting without the risk of unnecessary strain.

The Ergo Plate Stand from manufacturer 4titude holds both microplates and skirted PCR plates during pipetting sequences and offers eight spaces for 1.5ml or 2.0ml microcentrifuge tubes.

It has been designed to allow both its height and angle to be adjusted, meaning that users can manually configure its position to offer maximum comfort and convenience whether they are standing or sitting.

According to Anachem, this will help to mitigate the risk of repetitive strain injuries, which can be a common complaint among regular pipette users.

The 4titude Ergo Plate Stand is being made available in four colours – red, blue, yellow and green – which helps scientists to colour-code their work and avoid confusion.

Last month, the company announced the opening of its new UKAS-accredited pipette service centre at Titan Court in Luton.
