Anachem named UK distributor for KAPA Biosystems

Anachem has been awarded exclusive UK distribution rights for life science products developed by the US-based KAPA Biosystems.

Through this new arrangement, Anachem will provide UK buyers with access to a novel range of molecularly engineered reagents, used to optimise enzymes for DNA amplification, next-generation sequencing and molecular diagnostic applications.

The KAPA Biosystems molecular evolution technology platform is designed to offer new and improved applications that would not be possible with generalist wild-type enzymes.

According to Anachem, its experience in working closely with life science laboratories means it is well-positioned to support the KAPA product range.

Carole Staniford, Anachem's marketing director, said: "KAPA fits Anachem's model of partnering with innovative, value-added suppliers and will further strengthen our parent company's growth in the life science market."

In November 2011, Anachem expanded its UK product range further with the introduction of its new MicroSol 3 Plus decontaminant line-up for use in laboratory settings.
