Animal Trust to open new facilities in north-west England

4th July 2014

Animal Trust has announced the opening of two new facilities in the north-west of England over the coming months.

The not-for-profit veterinary group will be relocating its main Bolton surgery to a larger purpose-built hospital from July 14th 2014. The new Lower Bridgeman Street hospital offers more than 8,000 sq ft of space, allowing consultation capacity to be increased.

Meanwhile, the group will also open its third clinic in Blackburn on August 14th, expanding the number of people employed in the region and ensuring Animal Trust is able to serve more patients.

The company operates on the innovative model of offering free consultations for all sick and injured pets, regardless of owner income. Any profits are reinvested to expand the provision further.

Group director Owen Monie said the organisation's not-for-profit model means "animals benefit from being brought to the vet sooner, the clients benefit from the affordable pet care and we benefit from the satisfaction of delivering the best medicine without the pressure to maximise profits".

Animal Trust also operates premises in Failsworth and provides care for thousands of animals.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801733460-ADNFCR
