Animalcare completes sale of Travik business unit
Animalcare has announced that it has completed the sale of its chemical formulation business Travik to Aquajet Chemicals.
Business operations, product stock and facilities pertaining to the unit – which was proving to no longer be a profitable venture for the veterinary products manufacturer – have now been transferred to Aquajet for an undisclosed fee.
In addition, Animalcare has chosen to lease the premises owned and occupied by Travik to the company's new owner.
Animalcare states that the completion of the sale marks the conclusion of its strategic review, a process which has seen the firm exit the livestock market.
This has also involved the sale of its agriculture sector interests for 3.2 million pounds, with Tru-Test UK having taken over its Ritchey Limited and Fearing International operations.
Last month, Animalcare published its financial report for the full 2009-10 fiscal year, during which it experienced a 12.9 percent growth in revenue year-on-year.
