Animalcare names new managing director

Animalcare has announced the appointment of Dr Iain Menneer as its new managing director with immediate effect.

Dr Menneer will be in charge of strategic and operational management of the business's UK commercial activities and moves into the new role from his previous position of director of marketing.

He has been with the company since December 2003 and has served in a variety of marketing and business development-related roles, with a focus on the commercialisation of new products.

This appointment will allow Animalcare's other managers to increase their focus on new drug development and investment strategies, while also aiding its international expansion plans.

Stephen Wildridge, chief executive officer of Animalcare Group, said: "This important step recognises the ability and success Iain has already demonstrated in growing the UK business."

The company also recently named Chris Brewster as its new chief financial officer, a role he will assume once he completes his tenure with current employer Findus on May 31st 2012.
