Ansell reports growth in half-year statement
Ansell has published its report for the first half of the 2010-11 fiscal year, noting that business performance has improved during the period.
The medical device manufacturer's sales total for the six months ending on December 31st 2011 came to $583.7 million (363.32 million pounds), up by nine percent year-on-year.
During the half-year, the firm has completed its reorganisation into four global business units ahead of schedule, while a strong performance was highlighted for its sexual health and wellbeing division.
Peter Barnes, the company's chairman, observed that growth was achieved despite increasing raw material costs and the firm's ongoing investments in its Fusion enterprise resource planning project.
"Even with these substantial pressures, the half's results were up solidly, enabling the board to continue its well-established program of increasing dividends," he added.
In August 2010, the company strengthened its leadership team by appointing Steve Genzer as senior vice-president of operations, while Peter Dobbelsteijn was named senior vice-president and regional director for the EMEA region.
