Ansell reports strong growth in first half of 2014
Ansell has announced its financial results for the first half of 2014, during which it achieved year-on-year sales growth of nine percent.
The company's revenue total came to $703.6 million (420.99 million pounds) for the six months. New product sales and earnings rose by 20 percent, while profit attributable to shareholders was up by 15 percent.
Key drivers of growth included the recent acquisition of Midas Corporation and BarrierSafe Solutions International, while the development and launch of innovative new offerings remains at the core of its long-term strategy.
For the full year, the company still expects to achieve an earnings per share total in the range of $1.10 to $1.16.
Ansell's chief executive officer Magnus Nicolin said: "Our results in the first half of our 2014 fiscal year show clear evidence of improving growth rates as we execute our growth strategy and strategic vision for the company."
This comes after the firm announced last month that it has made a record contribution of medical products to aid recovery efforts following the recent typhoon in the Philippines.
