Apex Medical acquires Westmeria Healthcare Limited

Apex Medical has announced the takeover of the UK's Westmeria Healthcare Limited, a deal that represents its largest acquisition to date.

Westmeria is a leading provider of pressure area care therapy and will be joining the Apex Medical Group in Europe, forming a new UK company called Apex Medical Limited that will be headquartered in Crayford, Kent.

Apex has purchased the company as it looks to increase its service capabilities and widen its distribution network across the UK, as well as expanding into the acute sector.

Westmeria's current Dynamic and Static Mattress ranges will undergo a rebrand to feature Apex's visual identity.

Nicola Rodker, managing director of Apex, said: "This transaction allows us to continue to grow our services and channels with the added benefit of Apex's extensive portfolio of medical equipment, including a series of new wound management products and services."

The launch of the new company will take place at the Care and Dementia Show, to be held at the NEC Birmingham on November 3rd and 4th.
