Army Para Reserve Vet Continues High Flying Career with the Animalcare Technical Team
Animalcare has extended its technical team with the appointment of Army Reserve Para, Dr Paul Carlton as Technical Vet. In this role, he will work closely with veterinary practices, offering them high quality technical advice and support.
Dr Carlton graduated from Glasgow University Vet School in 2009 and worked in a series of small animal first opinion practices before undertaking an internship at the Glasgow University Small Animal Hospital. Whilst working in practice Paul actively served with the 4th Battalion of the Parachute Regiment. Experience within the charity sector, working with the SSPCA in Glasgow, have given Paul a particular interest in dentistry and pain management and a specific interest in monoclonal antibody treatments. He is currently training for his Private Pilot Licence.
Commenting on his new role Paul said: “Animalcare is focusing on innovation, for instance Daxocox® – the weekly NSAID to reduce breakthrough pain in dogs with osteoarthritis. More recently it has introduced to the market the easy-to-use home dental care range, Plaqtiv+®. I’m looking forward to playing my part in the company’s continued expansion and to working with our customers to optimise their use of our Animalcare products.”
